So. I would love to post here about how impressed I was with the Grammys. Since I was a little kid I have loved the Grammy Performances. There are often so many amazing duets and dazzling stage performances. Everything is sort of the pop musicians at their best. It's what gave us Kanye West's first performance, which made him a star. It gave us Michael Jackson's iconic man in the mirror performance. We saw Madonna kiss britney. We saw the dixie chicks stick it to George W Bush. The grammy stage has always been host to amazing performances.

This year. They sucked.

Lady Gaga was way over the top (as usual). Poor little taylor swift could barely get her muskrat voice out over the crowd. And beyonce. Don't even get me started on my arch nemesis beyonce. Alanis Morisette should sue her for what she did. That's all I'm going to say. And the michael jackson tribute was lame. With or without the 3D glasses.

This was the only performance which was even remotely interesting. Go pink. Soaking wet and hanging from a piece of muslin while singing a song? That takes guts.

Enough about the Grammys though. It just upsets me. Sometimes I worry about the direction popular music is taking. We need another nirvana. Someone to wake everyone up to a more raw feeling sound. I miss alternative music really being something.

Other than the Grammys though, things have been very interesting. My grandfather has informed me that he's thinking about staying in California and going into an assisted living home there to live with his lady-friend. Which means I get to have a roommate. After careful consideration I picked this tall goofy looking guy with a teeny tiny dog and a ton of comics to litter my house with. The things we do for love.

School has been good, I've been signing up for more studio hours because I really want to pass this class so I can record on my own. IT would be a real bummer if I had to take it again. Also, I didn't get the radio job, but I have been hired as an intern at the station, so maybe next semester.

Also, I was recently kicked out of a Dave & Busters in Boston. I wasn't even just asked to leave. I was forcibly carried out by a security guard. Which is pretty bad-a-s-s. If I do say so myself.
